Christmas Decorating Tips:
- Bring some green into your home this Christmas season. Along with a tree, deck your house with pine garlands (artificial or real) on the mantle, as table centerpieces, and up your staircase railing. Wrap the greenery in white Christmas lights to give your home a cheery glow.
- Have the kids make cranberry and popcorn strings one evening to hang not only on your tree but throughout your home. String them like lights across doorways, ceilings, and chandeliers.
- Use white pillar candles in bunches to create a dramatic effect on mantles and tables.
- Make favors featuring your family's favorite Christmas cookies. Along with a few cookies to sample, include a recipe so your guests can try to make them on their own.
- Fill vases with ornaments that didn't make it on the Christmas tree to use as centerpieces. Use tinsel as filler to add some sparkle.
- Lead family and friends to your door by lining your walkway with lanterns made of emptied gallon milk jugs. Use battery powered votives to avoid a fire hazard.
