Nancy asked:
Occasion: New Year Eve Party
We are having an adult New Years Eve Party at home,
>appetizers etc...and we have a kerioke machine (spelled wrong)
>anyway would like some ideas on party games we can play before we
>break out singing...a couple of creative fun ice breaker
>games...have any ideas...
The Game Girl says:
Maybe you could try some of these: Here's a fun one, no pressure, easy
to prepare and do, and can easily tie into your angel theme. Buy or make
some baker's dough - enough for everyone. (Recipe: 4 cups flour, 1 cup
salt, 1 3/4 cups water, mix and divide into 10 parts. You can color the
dough with food coloring if you prefer. Make more if needed for more
players.) Give each player a section of dough and ask them to make an
angel. Have them set their completed angels on a long table for everyone
to admire. Then give awards for: "Most Delicate Angel," "Biggest Angel,"
"Funniest Angel," "Strangest Angel," "Cutest Angel," "Saddest Angel,"
and so on! Why not have a talent show. Tell people to prepare something
for the party and then video tape it and show it to the guests. Everyone
must participate to really make it fun. Have everyone bring a baby
picture of themselves and put them on a board with numbers. See who can
guess the most right. Start off with a blown up picture of Father Time
and play a game of Pin the beard. Set up a Treasure Hunt in one of the
houses and cute poems as clues. Get one of those great box mystery games
and everyone be a character.

You didn't tell me the age of the guests but try surfing the teen, adult, mystery, and hunts areas of gamegirl site. Also New Year's Eve.
Ashton asked:
Occasion: Millennium party
What should I do at my party? It is a boy-girl party but
>I dont know what i can do at my party. Help Please!!!
The Game Girl says:
Look at the theme page at the millenium party site for some ideas. And surf the game page for ideas. Your age group fits the bar/bat mitzvah area.

>know what i can do at my party. Help Please!!!
The Game Girl says:
Go to the theme page and check out the various sites such as millenium parties and other themes. Narrow down your focus of what you want. then get your budget together, think of food and decorations (see www.oriental.com for inexpensive stuff) and look at the various areas of the games.
Tanya asked:
Occasion: New Year's Eve
I wanted the entire family to celebrate this momentous occasion together. However, now I'm at a lost for activities for the youngters, or even an overall theme for this occasion. HELP!
The Game Girl says:
Get a bulletin board and ask everyone to bring a couple of memorable family picture to put up and tell about. There really isn't any one thing that works for all ages so you will have to separate out the activities. Maybe crafts for the young ones (babies don't need special activities). Why not make or buy a pinata and fill it with candy. For the adults, create a Trivial Pursuit ame, maybe using family stuff.
Lora asked:
Occasion: New Years Eve
I'm looking for a good theme, and one simple game or something for entertainment that involves our guests. We've done the boy/girl gift exchange and think it's old now. Any suggestions with this large group?
The Game Girl says:
Have you looked at the millenium party theme at party411.com/themes? Good ideas to use. Or you could have a kiddie party with all the games you played as a child and kid-type prozes and favors. Look at www.oriental.com for great decorations and favors.

Irene Zukoski asked:
Occasion: Millennium New Year's Eve
We are having a private, sit-down dinner party in a banquet hall. Between courses, after
dessert, any suggestions for games to keep the kids occupied? Trying to keep the kids from
going wild during this 4-5 hour stretch!
The Game Girl says:
Wow, you're really planning ahead! Here's an idea to help keep the kids involved and
not bored: throughout the party, present a magazine picture to each table of kids, that
shows something from the past year, such as a winning football game, a new toy, a
political event, and so on. Each table of kids must make a prediction for the next
millennium, based on the picture, such as: The Yankees will win the pennant, the Furby
will come out in colors, the president will be a woman, and so on. Keep providing pictures
after each course for the kids' predictions.
