Event Consultant
- Consultant provides a job description and consults with Chair(s) on their
responsibilities for this event;
- Consultant works with all sub-committee chairs on how to get their jobs done as
designated in their job descriptions; consultant makes suggestions for improvements and,
subject to availability, attends meetings and consults by phone;
- Consultant provides deadline dates to keep event on schedule by checking in with the
chair of the event regarding these deadlines, updating the organization's director and/or
chair(s) as to any potential problems and t troubleshooting during planning stages of the
event;
- Consultant attends Executive Committee meetings as needed;
- Consultant assists in obtaining permits and contracts;
- Consultant identifies and offers reliable cost-effective resources and suppliers;
- Consultant uses contacts to assist in sponsorship, donations, etc.
- Consults with your organization's administrative staff to coordinate clerical duties
inherent to the event (e.g., mailings);
- Provides additional consulting to any sub-committee chair or sub-committee that is not
functioning as required.
