At the Homecoming Football Game

Decorations for the Football Field

Homecoming is one of the biggest social events of the year, and it is a fantastic time to show your school spirit to the world (or at least to your rival team!)

The week of homecoming (Spirit Week), assign each class a hallway somewhere in the school and let them decorate it in a way that displays their school spirit. We recommend balloons and gossamer to get you started, they both make a huge impact. Then add in handmade signs and, if you have a window, glass chalk.

Decorating is a snap with spirit kits. The giant personalized football is perfect focal point for the field. Have the team enter under the football star arch. Students can line up and release balloons and throw confetti as your team runs by (check out this sweet confetti shooter!) Have your mascot follow the team and run around the field waving your team letter flag. This will get the crowd excited and ready to watch the game!

Make sure your marching band is carrying a personalized banner in the homecoming parade and on the field. You can customize the banners with your team and school name, as well as your school colors.

If you need decorations for a homecoming parade float, try the charging helmet and bursts, or the flaming paw float kit. Add on some balloons and gossamer in your school colors and your all set!

Decorate Yourself for the Big Game

One of the most important decorations during homecoming is the students themselves. Wearing your school colors is just the start! Wearing face paint for the big game is a fantastic way to support your team, whether you go for a full face of color, or just a #1 on your cheek. Add on some glow jewelry in your school colors for a unique spirit look.

Another great wearable are custom Funtoos, just submit your own artwork, school logo, or team mascot to be turned into temporary tattoo! Hand out pom poms in the bleachers so everyone can root on the team to victory!

Spirit pins are another fantastic way to show school spirit. Unlike the face paint, you can keep the pin as a fun memento of homecoming and spirit week.
