for my 17th birthday, i also live by the beach, and i didnt know what to do at all, my parents were both out of town on my birthday for my mom's singing competition. I had told my boyfriend, whom I had been with since I was 15, that i wanted to do somethin special that i would remember forever, since i never had had a birthday party before. So my boyfriend decided that he would make this a very special one. He told me that he was taking me out on my birthday night and i had to dress nice but warm and told me to be ready by 3pm. I had noticed a stretch hummer limo stoped infront of my house, and soon say my boyfriend walking to the front door. when I got into the limo I saw all my best friends and their boyfriends, they had decorated the inside of the limo in hot pink and lime green (my favorite colors) streamers and balloons. they gave me a pin and told me to pop the balloons and it would tell me what the plans were for the night. In each balloon there was 1 word split into the letters inside. I had to scramble the letters from the word and then move on to the next balloon, when i got all the words formed i had to put the sentences together which was: "Tonight is your night. We will be goin to Logan's and then watch the sunset on the Atlantic. After the sun has set we will then go to The Marriot for the night." We went to dinner at a local steak house (which is my favorite place to each), i notices my bestfriends boyfriend's car was there.. and they had to leave early to go to his family party or atleast thats what they said. When they left we got a icecream brownie from the manager and they whole resturant sang to me. Finally we left and we went to the beach. when we got there my best friend and her boyfriend were there and they had set up a bonfire and had chairs and blankets all set up for everyone. We sat around together and roasted marshmellows and made s'mores and watched the sunset. We left the beach aroun midnight and went to the 5-star hotel right down the road. Each couple had their own room but they were all connected, the room that I was staying in was covered in red, pink and white rose pedels. there was a ribbon tied to the doorknob with a note that say "follow this to the end". along the ribben was a few presents and boxes with letters in them, which again i had to figure out what they ment. The ribbon went on forever, in and out of the all rooms,the hallway, and bathroms. I finally got to the end which was on the bed. There was 2 dozen pink and white roses i picked them all up and found a tiny box. I opened it up saw this beautiful ring I have wanted for a few months. My boyfriend was behind me with all the letters that I had picked up along the ribbon. I put them all together (it took about 1 hour) and it said: "Baby, this is a promise ring from me to you. I wanted you to have this one until I can afford a ring that will have more of a meaning to it. I also wnated you to know that I love you with all my heart." Still to this day I wear that ring and have never taken it off. my best friend had made me a mini scrapbook of that night. she used the actual letters that my boyfriend used to make both of my little notes, pictures from the whole night, part of the streamers from the limo, the balloons, part of the ribbon, and little things from that night. Now, me and my boyfriend are happily married and are expecting a baby girl next month! I hope that you can get some ideas from my 17th birthday, and have a very happy birthday!
