My in-laws wedding 40th Anniversary is June 16th. My sis-in-law says that the theme for 40th is rubies. So, all of the decor will be red. I think I will get those 12 in. suare mirrors at the hardware store as table centerpieces. Then, I am going to a craft store and get glass bowls/vases that are 50% off so they are $1.00 each. I will either float red rosebuds in them or candles. I'll put them on the mirror and sprinkle "40" confetti with faux rubies on the mirror. The centerpiece will then be a keepsake for someone at the table or living members of their wedding party. We are also putting a video together for them with taped messages including those from relatives who live in Canada and Italy and for those who can't attend. We will probably do one of those photo cakes from the grocery store where they will scan onto the cake their wedding photo. I think we'll get tees printed up at the drugstore with their wedding picture and a family tree for the grandkids to wear at the party.
