Race Fan Birthday Throwing a birthday party for a diehard racing fan? Well start your engines, because we are off to plan a NASCAR© theme birthday party they will never forget! Race Day Party Invitations
I think personalized driver's license invitations are perfect. Choose your own picture and your own wording, and every state is available! There are also fabulous personalized race day invitations that have room for a picture of the birthday boy or girl. Great thing about these styles is that there are decorations and favors to match! Another popular style are personalized ticket invitations. You get to choose from nine colors and can order as few as 30. They also have optional magnet backers or lanyards! Race Day Decorations and Party Supplies
Fill the party room with bunches of black and white latex balloons. Group them in odd numbers and use a silver trophy as a balloon weight. You can use the bouquets to decorate the entrance, tables buffet, and scatter them around the party room as well.
You can bring some of the excitement of Daytona to your party room. Is there a race on during the party? Make sure the TV is on and there is plenty of seating so everyone can watch the race. If there is no racing on you can always pop in a DVD featuring classic racing moments. Everyone will enjoy a trip down memory lane! Make sure if your fan has any memorabilia that it is displayed for all of the guests to see. We also love these traffic lights. They are inexpensive enough so you can buy a few to place around the room. These are also a great option for centerpieces. Don't forget to decorate your tables too! Place a balloon bouquet at each end of the buffet. Or maybe hang a 10' long Nascar banner over the buffet. People won't have trouble finding the food then! A great option for table decoration are these mini race cars . They make a great table accent and if you have kids around they'll start playing with them eventually.
Most likely you'll want to call your kitchen the "Corporate Pavilion" and pretend it's in the Hospitality Village. And the bar is the "Pit Stop", you know, for refueling!
What to serve? Anything really works…but make sure to give each dish a "racing car" name (e.g., Diesel Dogs) or use famous drivers in front of each thing (e.g., Richard Petty Pepperoni Pizza).
Don't forget to see if your local bakery can do a Nascar theme cake! Activities Here is fun game you can play at your racing theme birthday party -
Who am I? (The Nascar® Edition):
Write the names of racing related people and objects on index cards, and tape one card to the back of each guest. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Have everyone walk around in the same room, and instruct them not to mention what is written on each person's back, but to talk to everyone as if they are the person or thing on their card. As people begin to correctly guess their identity, they have to continue to treat the people who still don't know their identity like the character whose name is taped to their back. When everyone guesses their "true identity", then the game is over.Race Day Party Favors
For the kids (and some of the adults who think they are kids), put together a goody bag:
Or your local candy store should have foil-wrapped chocolate cars. Put a few in a goody bag and give them out during the race or as a "thank you for coming" gift. Give a good whoop in the pit for me. NASCAR Racing Party Planning and Decorating Ideas from Party411.com
