Don't "drag" your feet in sending out the perfect invitation! Make sure you choose one that conveys the party theme and puts the guest of honor front and center!

I think personalized driver's license invitations are perfect. Choose your own picture and your own wording, and every state is available!

Race Day Decorations and Party Supplies

The starting line is at your door with a personalized race day banner! It's a great decoration that you can hang inside or out. Personalize it with a fun "racing" saying that everyone will love -

"John is SPEEDING over the hill!"

"Welcome to the Victory Lane Jeff!"

Fill the party room with bunches of black and white latex balloons. Group them in odd numbers and use a silver trophy as a balloon weight. You can use the bouquets to decorate the entrance, tables buffet, and scatter them around the party room as well.

Another unique personal touch is to have a race car driver cutout with the face of the guest of honor providing a perfect welcome and a perfect photo op! What fan wouldn't want to see themselves as a driver? Very fun!

You can bring some of the excitement of Daytona to your party room. Is there a race on during the party? Make sure the TV is on and there is plenty of seating so everyone can watch the race.  If there is no racing on you can always pop in a DVD featuring classic racing moments. Everyone will enjoy a trip down memory lane!

Make sure if your fan has any memorabilia that it is displayed for all of the guests to see. We also love these traffic lights. They are inexpensive enough so you can buy a few to place around the room. These are also a great option for centerpieces.

A great option for table decoration are these mini race cars . They make a great table accent and if you have kids around they'll start playing with them eventually. 

To have a really successful NASCAR theme party, you need a racetrack feel to your table. Cover all tables, buffets and bars with black and white checkered tablecovers. Then you can choose from black and white checkered paper goods or Nascar-themed paper goods (my choice) so that you stay in theme. Pre-set the table and stuff each cup with a napkin, plastic ware (fork, spoon and knife) and two racing flags coming out…one cup at each place.

Most likely you'll want to call your kitchen the "Corporate Pavilion" and pretend it's in the Hospitality Village. And the bar is the "Pit Stop", you know, for refueling!

 What to serve? Anything really works…but make sure to give each dish a "racing car" name (e.g., Diesel Dogs) or use famous drivers in front of each thing (e.g., Richard Petty Pepperoni Pizza).
